Kundalini Record’s first release is the brand new album “Out Of The Blue” from 40%. One of Israel’s finest & most prolific Trance producers, Omi Harpaz (also part of the ambient project Shulman), needs no introduction…but we’ll give one anyway.
At the ripe old age of 15 Omi discovered electronic music which immediately captivated him. Shortly after attending a trance party he began to DJ & perform throughout Israel and soon enough gained an excellent reputation as one of the finest DJ’s around.
His talent and unique style soon became to be recognized overseas and within a short time, Omi received invitations to perform all over the globe, including Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Russia, USA, Kenya, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Belgrade and more. Soon, his name was to be found on the bill at various events ranging from small underground parties to the larger world renowned Trance festivals. After DJ’ing for several years Omi reached a stage in his life where he felt the need to expand his insight and creativity and this led him into the world of music production.
In his capacity as Producer, Omi has collaborated with various world renown artists within the trance community such as : Skazi, Joti Psychaos, Paul Taylor, BLT, Exaile, Paranormal Attack, Beat on Phobia , Rocky and many more. 40% has had many releases with some of the best electronic labels all over the world including TIP World, Chemical Crew, Third Eye, Spliff Music, Sirius, Moonspirit, Crystal Matrix and others. Finally he releases his first solo album & the wait has been well worth it.
40% music cannot be put down as any specific type of trance, it stands out as a very diverse and unique style in today’s “mainstream” Trance scene, combining some of the traditional elements of the Israeli sound with a more harder edged psychedelic flavour. Out of the blue contains 9 new tracks, each with amazing attention to detail, top notch production & infectious arrangements. The 8 self-penned tunes include future classics such as Dream Channel, 40+60=100 & a 2008 edit of the much loved Swift. Also included is the 40% remix of Deedrah’s Re Load, which has already caused many dancefloors to erupt this summer when that defining riff is recognised.
Out Of The Blue will be out November 2008 and also look forward to some special exclusive digital releases available later on in the year
